Physical activity and prevention

Practicing physical activity and exercise helps you stay healthy at any age. It keeps the musculoskeletal and circulatory systems efficient and helps to control body weight.

Having a healthy and active lifestyle plays an important preventive function even for some forms of cancer. Practicing aerobic exercises, such as running and combining it with resistance exercises, helps to improve the feeling of psycho-physical well-being.

Physical activity improves:

  1. The musculoskeletal system
  2. The immune system
  3. The cardiovascular system
  4. Better respiratory efficiency
  5. Metabolism

In short, it improves the quality of life.

How much physical activity is needed?

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), Physical activity should be conducted during the week for a minimum of 150 minutes of moderate intensity aerobic exercises (for example 30 minutes 5 times a week) or for a minimum of 75 minutes of intense aerobic exercises (for example 25 minutes 3 times a week).

An active lifestyle is the best way to stay healthy: leave a sedentary lifestyle is the first step for a correct prevention.
